In her nature-based early childhood education consulting work and trainings, Laura has experience facilitating: - Professional learning communities - Workshops and conferences - On-line and in-person professional development trainings - Circles of community - On-site teacher training - 1:1 and small group mentorship Laura Whittaker is the founder, administrator, and a teacher at Wind Ridge Schoolhouse, a Cedarsong Way Accredited School in Duluth, MN. She has a BA in English from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, a M.S. Ed. from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, and is certified in the Cedarsong Way. She is a founding member of the Duluth Nature Play Collaborative, a part of the MN Early Childhood Outdoor Learning Network Steering Committee, and a MN representative on the Natural Start Alliance Regional Network. She was named one of Duluth’s “20 Under 40” in 2015 for her work in nature-based education. Laura was a contributor to the Nature-Based Early Childhood Program Assessment and Guidebook published in 2022. |
