Nature play is the heart of the day and through self-guided nature play with peers, young children explore and practice interacting with others, developing creative ideas, and sustaining imaginative play.

With only 8 children in the program each day, the class size supports a gentle, child-centered approach to preschool. There is room for everyone’s voice with space and time to let imagination and wonder flourish.
Children’s seemingly-inherent knowing that all beings are relatives – plants, animals, and people, too – is fostered and supported. When children leave the nest of Wind Ridge Schoolhouse, they are brave and kind, hardy and free.
